The British University in Dubai (BUiD), a leading research-based university in the UAE, has introduced three new academic programmes for the upcoming academic year: the Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence the Doctor of Philosophy in Engineering Management, and new concentration in the Master of Education programme. These additions reflect BUiD’s ongoing efforts to meet the needs of today’s industries and prepare graduates for in-demand careers.

Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence
BUiD has introduced its enhanced Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence, building on the foundation of its former MSc in Informatics. The programme covers key areas such as machine learning, data science, intelligent systems, and natural language processing. Graduates will be ready to apply AI across vital sectors like finance, healthcare, logistics, education, and smart cities, helping drive the UAE’s vision for a technology-driven future.

PhD in Engineering Management
BUiD’s new PhD in Engineering Management is designed for professionals and researchers who want to develop advanced leadership and research skills in complex engineering environments. In line with international academic standards, the structure of the new programme is based on the British model of PhD, where students are mainly trained in the first year on research skills before they begin work on their thesis from the second year onwards. This model ensures a solid foundation in research methodology, enabling students to undertake impactful doctoral research with confidence and clarity.

New Specialisations in the Master of Education
In response to the evolving landscape of education, BUiD has expanded its Master of Education programme to include five new concentrations. These specialisations provide educators and administrators with the opportunity to deepen their expertise in contemporary and high-demand areas. The new concentrations are:

• Educational Management, Leadership and Policy
• Diversity and Inclusive Education
• Applied Linguistics and Language Learning
• STEM Education
• Educational Psychology and Counselling
