Students at Nibras International School raise funds to support Al Jalila Foundation’s cancer awareness efforts
Student-led awareness initiatives at Nibras International School (NIS), part of International Schools Partnership (ISP), have raised AED 25,000 through cancer awareness and community fundraising activities, earning the school its fourth engraving on the Al Jalila Foundation donor recognition wall.
The contribution Nibras International School has made to Al Jalila Foundation was generated through the school’s annual community market and a series of student-led awareness initiatives focused on education, engagement and giving back.
Yusur A., the High School Student Council President, said: “Being part of our cancer awareness initiatives showed us how teamwork can create positive change. It was inspiring to see how our contribution supports people in need.”
Dr. Jay Teston, School Superintendent, said: “These initiatives bring our community together with a clear purpose. Our students lead with kindness and responsibility, and their commitment to supporting cancer awareness continues to grow.”
Representatives from Nibras International School, joined by student leaders, visited Al Jalila Foundation to present the donation cheque. The visit reinforced for students how their collective efforts support cancer research and patient care in the UAE.
Over the last four years the school has raised a collective AED 79,976.
