Doğa Beykoz Campus, situated on 55 hectares of Ahmet Mithat Efendi’s Farm which has been in use for 150 years, transformed this beautiful environment of Beykoz into a valley of education in the 2002-2003 academic year. Being an inspiration to Natural Learning Concept as an education model, Beykoz Doğa Campus offers an opportunity to our students to discover and develop their abilities in a natural atmosphere. From its horse riding facilities to zoo, from trekking courses to camping grounds, from swimming pools to wide cultivated areas, being completely in touch with nature, Beykoz Doğa Campus shares the Live and Learn Model of Doğa Campuswith the other schools today.

Proving that education is not only given in the classes and learning by experience is also possible in limitless areas, Beykoz Doğa Kindergarten enables the students to spend quality and enjoyable time out of school hours. PYP, the Primary Years Programme of the International Baccalaureate Organization, covers students between ages of 3-12 years. Its mission is to help to create a better world with intercultural understanding and peace, to raise knowledgeable, interested and sensitive individuals; and to work with schools, governments and international organizations to achieve this aim, to develop programmes based on international education and assessment in order to develop programmes to raise along these aims.

It also attempts to promote that with these programmes learners are raised to recognize that individuals with their differences can also be right and they become active, compassionate and life-long learning persons.

This programme stipulates a long preparation period in order to get verification for implementation and it is monitored by the International Baccalaureate Organization. The candidate schools that want to implement the programme proceed through the process of the implementing school following the verification visit. Beykoz Doğa Primary School gained the right to be one of the IBPYP schools in the world after verification visit in the 2013-2014 academic year and the staff of the school attends international IB PYP trainings.

The attributes of the IB Learner Profile are; Inquirer, Thinker, Communicator, Risk Taker, Knowledgeable, Principled, Sensitive, Open-minded, Balanced and Reflective and they are in harmony with the Doğa Educational philosophy that takes creativity, aesthetics, challenge, risk taking, time management and the student him/herself as basis. The programme comprises six transdisciplinary themes in total and it provides that meaningful connections are made between all disciplines at our school.

The connections made between fields of Ecology, Horse riding, Personal, Social and Physical Education, Social Sciences, the Arts, the Sciences, Language and Mathematics change into learning by our teachers preparing the Ministry of Education Curriculum in accordance with the IBPYP themes.
