With 14 years of music-related experience, including 3 yers as an instrumental teacher, and 4 years of recent experience in UK curriculum, having strong English language, I apply with enthusiasm for the RGSGQ

I hold a Bachelor of music education (instrumental music). Before I became a teacher I performed across Middle East and Asia. This enables me to better relate to students from different cultural backgrounds.

Formerly in my Music Teacher role I was teaching various year groups: from kindergarten up to grade 9. I was cultivating students’ interest in music, through teaching music theory and history, rhythms, sight-reading, choir and performance on variety of musical instruments. I integrate technology in my lesson, using whiteboard, various websites, youtube channels, minus- and plus-tracks, I try to make kids actively engaged in the lesson by performing rhythms with percussions or sticks and singing, or listening/reading a story (ppt) about life and art of a certain composer (era, musical composition) and then have oral/written test or music quiz to consolidate learned material, or learning and differentiating by ear families of musical instruments, learning note duration and rhythms on percussions, practicing to sing scale, or play recorder/guitar/piano. Sometimes I play piano or guitar to accompany the song as well as saxophone. The songs we are singing I choose from musick8.com or it can be pop school-appropriate song. Preparing musical programs, working together with kids on creating a performance, invent and experiment, thats what motivates and drives me. As we learn through music about different cultures I am aware what is not acceptable to depict or talk about in the school premises.

When reviewing my resume, you might notice a gap in employment. My absence is due to me taking care for my child. My child-rearing experience has enhanced my talents in leadership, determination, and prioritization as I managed multiple schedules, trained others, enforced rules and provided around-the-clock care. I am now settled and prepared to get back into the workforce.
