About Company

The Reid Malley Foundation was established in 2014 by Allan and Janet Reid OAM who, together with Gary Graco, a partner in Moore Stephens (accountants), are the Directors of the Trustee Company.

The Foundation is named partly in honour of Janet’s family, which, in the first third of the 20th century had a record of philanthropy in Russia and the Russian community in China. Every one of the family males was killed either in Stalin’s purges or in the Russian Army in the Second World War. Janet came to Australia with several of the Malley family women in 1949.

The establishment of the Foundation reflects the desire of the Reid family to make a significant contribution to Australian society, the democratic and social values of which are dearly held by the family.

The Foundation generally supports initiatives aimed at:

  • Improving access to education and training for disadvantaged individuals and communities.
  • Increasing social connectedness and intercultural understanding and reducing discrimination.

The Foundation provides funding to:

  • Not for profit and community organisations; and
  • Educational and research institutions.
