Works with classroom teachers around inclusion of Indigenous perspectives into classroom practice. Supports teachers by connecting them with resources and skills to implement indigenous perspective respectfully for all learners. Our goal is to help bridge the gap for students transitioning from their Elementary School to Alpha Secondary School. Through classroom workshops, we will provide information about Alpha Secondary School and engage students in experiential educational programs.

The intent of this program is to bring enriching experiences to our family of schools alongside the district MACC and Challenge programs. These workshops are designed to engage students in Applied Design Skills and Technology, providing opportunities for teachers to examine different approaches to teaching the new BC Curriculum.

Alpha students will be selecting their courses for the 2020 – 2021 school year starting in early February and concluding by February 28th. Counsellors will be helping students with making decisions for course selection through presentations during class time between January 30th and February 5th.
