American Pacific International School (Primary)

American Pacific International School (APIS) was founded by Kritsanant Palarit in August 1997. Kritsanant’s vision was to provide a world-class university preparation education and boarding program in a remarkable Thai environment. Today our school hosts over 400 IB students across both campuses, Prenursery through Grade 12; with more than 20 nationalities representing our diverse student population. Our school continues to thrive as a learning community passionately educating, inspiring, nurturing, and maximizing each student’s potential to become a global citizen and a happy lifelong learner.

APIS Main Campus (MC) is located in a rural setting surrounded by small villages, rice fields, farms and resorts. This natural environment allows for unique opportunities to learn in a setting outside of the classroom and enjoy nature during free time. In addition, many of our support staff are hired from local villages surrounding our campus. This allows our students to benefit educationally and further develop their international mindedness. American Pacific International School (APIS) is Chiang Mai’s first internationally accredited boarding school. It provides a rigorous academic and residential curriculum that works
in harmony towards consistent educational aims and values. APIS draws students from a diverse range of backgrounds. Over 20
different nationalities are represented in the student body. Through the experience of living and learning together, the students develop personal responsibility, international mindedness, and strong community values. It is this holistic education that prepares them for success in the modern world.
