The American University of the Middle East

The American University of the Middle East (AUM) is a leading higher education institution established in 2005 in Kuwait. AUM has two colleges: the College of Engineering and Technology and the College of Business Administration, in addition to a Liberal Arts Department and an English Preparatory Program.

AUM offers world-class academic programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and is designed to provide an intellectually challenging yet engaging and authentic academic environment with the student as the fulcrum of everything that happens there.

As a privately owned university, AUM prides itself on being an “Oasis of Learning” in Kuwait. AUM started its journey with a small building and only hundreds of enrolled students in the first few years, to become within the last 10 years a landmark in the private education sector in Kuwait and the region. Today, AUM has more than 11,000 enrolled full-time students as of Fall 2020, and a fully-integrated campus that stretches over 261,190 square meters is considered as the largest and most beautiful among private university campuses in the region.

The College of Engineering and Technology at AUM offers seven undergraduate Engineering programs (Architectural Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering), in addition to two technology programs at the B.Sc. level (Information System Technology, and Telecommunications and Networking Technology).

The College of Business Administration offers two undergraduate degree programs (BSc in Accounting and BSc in Business Administration with four concentrations: Finance, MIS, Marketing, and HRM), as well as a graduate program in business administration (MBA).
