Established in 1996, the AMIDEAST/UAE field office provides testing, professional development training, English language training, scholarship program services and solutions throughout the seven Emirates that comprise the United Arab Emirates. AMIDEAST/UAE currently has offices in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, in order to serve a diverse clientele of Emirati nationals, international students, and expatriates who need testing and training services for educational and business purposes.

AMIDEAST is a leading American non-profit organization engaged in international education, training and development activities in the Middle East and North Africa.

Founded in 1951, AMIDEAST in its early years focused on promoting U.S. study to students in the MENA region and managing U.S. scholarships and exchanges such as the flagship Fulbright Foreign Student Program. While these important programs continue apace, our work has expanded significantly.

Today AMIDEAST programs and services touch the lives of half a million individuals a year – improving educational opportunities and quality, strengthening local institutions, and developing language and professional skills critical for success in the global economy.

Our 2017 annual report — Making Dreams Possible — highlights the achievements of youth in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region who are making the most of their opportunities for training and education. We take pride in the achievements of the young men and women featured in the report, who are realizing their aspirations with the support of AMIDEAST’s educational, training, and exchange offerings. As you read their stories and about our activities during 2017, we hope that you will come away inspired to support our ongoing efforts to expand access to knowledge and skills for the region’s youth.

AMIDEAST prides itself on promoting a culture of honesty and integrity. The compliant and ethical manner in which we conduct ourselves with customers, donors, vendors, competitors, and each other is a core AMIDEAST value and is vital to our continued success.

AMIDEAST has recently updated and expanded its ethics policy in an effort to combat fraud, waste or abuse. This comprehensive policy applies to all individuals working on behalf of AMIDEAST.

AMIDEAST expects everyone working on its behalf to uphold the values and standards of conduct outlined in the new policy. The policy is administered by Human Resources and includes disciplinary measures that AMIDEAST may take to deal with confirmed violations.

AMIDAST has also set up an Ethics Hotline available to anyone within or outside the organization to report suspected ethics policy violations. The Hotline is a multi-lingual service managed by a third party and gives users the option of submitting an ethics complaint anonymously via email or voice telephone. HR automatically receives and follows up on all ethics complaints made to the third party Hotline. Follow up activities conducted by HR will include notification to AMIDEAST”s President/CEO. Of course, it is also permissible for anyone to make a complaint directly to HR.
