BC Academy International School transformed into a hub of creativity and culture as it proudly hosted “Threads of Time: Contemporary Echoes of UAE Heritage”, an extraordinary art exhibition that celebrated the spirit of the Emirates through the eyes of its artists, students, and community.

From stunning artworks to interactive experiences, the event immersed visitors in a vibrant journey of heritage, sustainability, and self-expression. It was a day where creativity met culture — and inspiration met opportunity.
True to the school’s belief in learning beyond the classroom, students didn’t just view the art — they experienced it. They met the artists, explored their processes, and gained a deeper appreciation for how tradition continues to inspire modern creativity.

The exhibition featured remarkable works by celebrated artists including Azza Al Qubaisi, Khalid Al Astad, Mariam Al Zarooni, Noura Ali Ramahi, Mohamed Alsuwaidi, Sami Al Kour, Ghaleb Hawila, and Tala Atrouni, each presenting a unique reflection of heritage, identity, and innovation.

A highlight of the event was a panel discussion where students engaged the artists with thoughtful questions about creativity, inspiration, and purpose. The dialogue sparked meaningful connections and showcased how art can bridge generations.
Azza Al Qubaisi, often described as “the first Emirati jeweller,” praised the initiative, saying:
“An exhibition within a school is a very interesting concept. Having artists from different fields showcasing their work for students to experience over time opens up opportunities for them to see art as a career and appreciate their own creativity in the process. I think it’s a fantastic programme — great talks — and I hope more of this happens in other schools as well.”

Echoing her words, Khalid Al Astad shared:
“BC Academy has set a new benchmark for schools by creating such engaging events. It’s not only about classroom art sessions but also about connecting with the community. Exhibitions like this are important for students to gain insight into the art and cultural movement of the Emirates.”
Threads of Time stood as BC Academy’s tribute to the UAE – honouring its culture, creativity, and timeless heritage that continue to inspire our community.

Threads of Time was more than an exhibition — it was a celebration of imagination, identity, and inspiration. It once again reflected BC Academy’s commitment to nurturing creativity, cultural awareness, and real-world learning experiences that empower every child to dream, discover, and achieve.
