Ascot International School Japan is the only K–13 Cambridge International School and testing center west of the Kansai region, Japan. Our goal is to develop a genuine love of learning in every student.

We offer separate Boys’ and Girls’ Dormitories for secondary students, located within walking distance of the school. Our facilities include a full artificial turf soccer pitch, a gymnasium, and 4 acres of woodland where students engage in nature school and take their learning outdoors.

Our bus services cover Sannomiya, Rokko Island, Sumiyoshi, Hankyu Mikage, Takurazuka, Sanda.

At Ascot, students develop their skills according to their individual needs in a beautiful, natural environment built with sustainable materials—far removed from the concrete jungle.

Through the globally recognized and challenging Cambridge curriculum, our students become adaptable, lifelong learners in an ever-changing world.

Our intercultural ethos and commitment to cultural sensitivity, where every child is cherished, foster respect both within and beyond our school community. With staff from six different continents, students experience diverse English accents and authentic cultural perspectives. Our student population represents over 15 different cultures.

Ascot was accepted into the Cambridge International network in May 2022. We offer a strong curriculum aligned with the English National Curriculum, which allows us to better assess students and provide a clear pathway through the IGCSE and A-level exams.

In the classroom, students receive differentiated instruction tailored to their needs. They also have opportunities to learn outdoors and engage with flipped classroom techniques. All of these approaches contribute to fostering a love of learning.

Ascot started in January 2018, and in the years since, we have grown both in student population and campus size. We now have dedicated primary and secondary buildings, along with a full sports pitch and gym. We’ve acquired approximately 2 hectares of forest land near our school, enriching our learning environment.

We are a certified Cambridge International School and have recently received our WASC accreditation. Our focus is on environmental awareness, science, and fostering a genuine love of learning in our students.

At Ascot, we aim to develop not only multilingual students but also culturally aware global citizens. We want our students to understand how to communicate effectively in different contexts and appreciate the cultures behind the languages they study. Our goal is to equip them to thrive in a diverse, interconnected world. We also recognize that we are educating the future leaders who will take on important responsibilities in the years to come.

We believe in honoring each student’s unique learning style and pace. With small class sizes, students receive the individualized attention they deserve. We strike a balance between using new technology and approaches while encouraging exploration and inquiry in our environment. What works best varies from student to student, but this individualized approach enables each one to not only understand what to learn but also how to learn effectively. Our aim is to cultivate a lifelong love of learning, so students remain open-minded explorers as they face an ever-changing future.
