Ashmole Academy is a unique school that remains committed to delivering it’s motto; Excellence, Aspiration and Care for both its staff and students. Our conscientious, determined and expert staff are highly committed to delivering high standards of teaching and learning by supporting each and every one of our students to maximise their potential. All students are set high aspirations and are empowered to achieve these by demonstrating the school values. These are Endeavour, Reflection, Professionalism, Responsibility, Respect and Co-operation. They show the emphasis we place on Achievement, Behaviour and Community, collectively known as the ‘ABC of Excellence’.
Our A Level and GCSE examination results are exceptional, at GCSE we consistently and significantly outperform in all four key performance indicators, both locally and nationally. The Progress 8 score remains approximately close to 1, indicating that on average our students achieve one grade higher than expected across 8 qualifications, to include English, Maths and English Baccalaureate qualifications compared to students nationally.
Although we are a large secondary school with over 1800 students, we make every effort to appreciate each students’ talents and personalities. The role of the pastoral team and in particular the form tutor is key to ensure that each and every one of our students feels supported and cared for.
The school building was built in 2004, and we continue to invest in the buildings and facilities in order to provide a fantastic learning environment. We offer a broad range of extra-curricular activities and we are proud of our numerous sports teams who continue to win regional titles.

My sons attended the school. They were very happy. I often attended the school for various events, parents meeting etc. I found the teachers were sincere and they put in good efforts for the students. The outdoor sports facilities are quite good. The school is quite active in promoting sports.

The place is good.
I have really got my eye on this place because its great and the teachers are polite and wonderful, though they need to buck up a bit.

Being a parent to two children who currently attend Ashmole Academy, I cannot speak highly enough of the staff and the facilities provided to ensure the very best of education is delivered. The encouragement and discipline that is applied to the students as soon as they enter year 7 is sufficiently exercised so that the children settle as quickly as possible and feel happy and safe. This in turn promotes a good work ethic from the start and the praise and rewards that are given keep moral levels high. Yes the children are expected to work hard but this is a highly respected and effective school with exceptional standards. They so obviously want the best for their students. That in itself is as a result of great leadership and impressive teacher commitment which is so apparent from the many parents evenings and meetings one has to attend. It is nice to see that the same attention and support continues right through to the sixth form where the staff instil the values of independence and self worth. My children are very happy there and always have been. March 2018
