Premier Digital Tech University status was awarded by the Minister of Higher Education Malaysia, YB Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh.

Originally established as the Asia Pacific Institute of Information Technology (APIIT) in 1993 and Asia Pacific University College of Technology & Innovation (UCTI) in 2004, APU’s sound approach to nurturing school leavers into qualified professionals has resulted in our graduates being highly sought after by employers.

With an international student community of more than 11,000 students from more than 110 countries studying in its Malaysian campus, APU offers a truly cosmopolitan learning environment which prepares students well for the global challenges which lie ahead. Our courses are approved by Malaysia Qualifications Agency (MQA) and the Malaysian Ministry of Education Malaysia. APU’s achievements bear testimony to our commitment to excellence in higher education and training, as well as innovative research and development and commercialization. APU is certified to the internationally recognised ISO9001:2008 standards by SIRIM QAS International. The Scope of the certification covers core and support procedures and processes in the provision of programmes and services for undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Besides, being awarded the MSC Malaysia status for Institutions of Higher Learning is a recognition and testimony of APU’s contribution to Malaysia’s Digital Economy through IT professionals with industry relevant and immediately employable skills upon graduation. In 2017, APU is also recognized as one of the Premier Digital Institute of Higher Learning (IHL) by the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), in which the university is now open to more opportunities from the government and the industry through exclusive collaborations, internship and job placements etc.

Through our network of APIIT Education Group branch campuses established in Sri Lanka and India, APU also reaches out to young aspiring professionals in these countries, providing them with a unique opportunity of experiencing international best practices in higher education using curricula, processes, resources and systems which have been developed in Malaysia. APU was my first choice and will be my last choice. The professionalism is a whole another level, revolutionized the IT education industry in the country, always up with the trends, ahead of its time and one of the top private universities in Malaysia I never regretted my choice. Visited APU's Open Day on 16th Feb 2020 with my parents. Excellent facilities and location, as compare to other campus I visited in KL. Impressed by Student Ambassador from Penang who gave an excellent tour and was able to explain well on the Student Life and he is doing same course as I wish to do - Cyber Security. It may sound like a Tech college for Nerds like me. But it is a happening campus and opportunity for me to transform my life after SPM with a global community.

APU is one of the most modern universities in the country, especially after opening of the new campus building. Everything is electronic there, study schedules, room booking, consultation booking, library search and borrowing, even the canteen and coffee shops are strictly using electronic payment. I am really impressed with the level of organization that they practice.

I am a Korean student at APU and currently I am progressing 2nd semester of level 4, pursuing Mechatronic (robotic) Engineering. APU is a great university as they are providing Washington Accord, so after graduation I can find jobs in many countries and they are always upgrading their standards to provide satisfactory. They are good at listening to student's feedback and student office is also there for students. There is a Mcdonald's, Starbucks, and many other restaurants near by and if you have a transport, you can explore a lot more within 4 km distance. The APU university is located at heart of Malaysia, so in the weekends, you can travel to Kuala Lumpur City Centre within 20 minutes I usually use E20 MEX highway. They are opening carrier fairs every year, and it is worth it to visit and find out what companies are available in Malaysia. Thank you APU and Malaysia.

The University is really huge. The place is really awesome as the environment is amazing. At here you can chat/talk to different national students. Here are a lot international students who are came here from over 20+ different countries. The staff at here is really respectful and helpful.

I have had the privilege of studying in APU for the last 3 three years and honestly I would say it is by far the best experience of my life. By choosing an international university such as APU I was exposed to a lot of students from different nationalities which gave me the opportunity to expand my knowledge and understanding of other cultures and traditions. Besides the knowledge gained from the programs at the university, the co-curricular modules helped me explore my hobbies as well. When I just made my first step into Asia Pacific University I was so surprised. Being a graduate of a high school in my country I was expecting university life to be very tough and challenging. But what I saw during my first day made me feel relaxed and feel more like home even though I was thousand miles away from my hometown. The reason I felt this way is because APU has unique approach to every student from different countries as they have super multinational staff. The studying life itself was quite challenging in terms of number of assignments and exams we had, but all of these challenges made us ready to the global world. The lecturers of APU are professionals and experienced people from the industry that students learn about. So it’s not only theory but sharing real-life experience. Most of the time lecturers position themselves as your friends, so if you’re planning to do any business upon completion of your studies you can always find a good adviser among your lecturers. Being a graduate and now staff of APU makes me feel so proud as I gained a new family who’re professionals in their work. P.s. I wish each and every existing and potential students of APU to have the same remarkable, bright, and unforgettable trip into student life world as I did. The university itself provides you multiple options to learn in diversified environment. This place is not just to get a degree certificate but also to make new friends from all over the world since these students are coming from over 100 countries. I am sure some of us and myself have experienced extreme stress while studying here but that made me strong to face future challenges. Just let me be honest - it's not a party place, if you have set goals in your life then you will find joining APU as the best decision. Besides that if you find it hard to live in Malaysia as an international student then APU has various partner universities in Australia, UK, Netherlands, France etc where you can always transfer if you have scored well. Yeah, I'm not gonna talk about stars and moon because there is always some room for improvement unless you decide to stop growing, APU is growing day by day which is the best part of it!

I had the privilege to study Software Engineering at Asia Pacific University for the past three years. Being an international student, the friendly atmosphere and cultural diversity there made it easy for me to adapt. The university provides all the students with facilities of International standards. Life at Asia Pacific University has been and continues to be a rewarding experience. The best phrase that i can use to describe my experience at this uni is ' eye opening'. Uni is not just about obtaining a degree but what's more important is the journey of getting one. Very good university for Information Technology and Business studies and the staffs takes good care of the students. All the teachers are professionals. APU is the best university in Malaysia for Computing and IT Programmes having won hundreds of awards. It is also great for engineering and business courses. Located near the Bukit Jalil LRT, it is convenient for students.
