Avenues Shenzhen

Welcome to Avenues Shenzhen, a haven of learning in the heart of one of the world's most innovative cities, and the first campus of Avenues The World School in Asia. After launching in 2018 with a unique early childhood program, Avenues Shenzhen now serves students from two to eighteen years of age with a cutting-edge educational program spanning the primary and secondary divisions.

Avenues Shenzhen opened in 2018, bringing Avenues’ popular early childhood program from New York City to China’s southern hub of innovation.Since opening, Avenues Shenzhen has expanded to serve students from two to eighteen years of age. In addition to our Small World program for 2-year-olds and Kindergarten program, we offer primary and secondary programs.

Our curriculum is the product of seven years of research and development and represents an elegant integration of Avenues’ global curricular system with Chinese compulsory education for grades 1-9.Opened in fall 2021, our unique high school program emphasizes discovery, innovation and long-term thinking to prepare students to succeed in a globally connected future.

The state-of-the-art Avenues Shenzhen campus is located in the leafy Tanglang neighborhood of Nanshan District.Avenues Shenzhen is led by a growing, world-class team of passionate and experienced educators, including faculty and administrators from Avenues New York.

Mission

We will share our prosperity with those who need it, initially through traditional financial aid and, as we grow, in more innovative and broader-scale ways that leap the walls of our campuses.We will provide our faculty and staff members a special place to pursue the science and art of teaching. We want to align the rewards of teaching more closely with the value it brings to society, provide teachers opportunities to deepen their skills and be a place where careers, in and out of the classroom, can flourish.
