Inaugurated in 2010 and recognized by the International Baccalaureate Organization as an IB World School, today Beacon School has over 1,000 students, from Early Childhood Education to High School.

Beacon offers an international education bilingual and open to the world in an environment that emphasizes welcoming while valuing its Brazilian roots.

We recognize diversity as an opportunity to promote and expand personal development and collaboration with society. We develop curious and critical students, committed to their transformative role for a more ethical and peaceful society in the 21st century.

We are very proud of Beacon's academic rigor and our overall program based on solid principles. Beacon, as an international IB school, develops individuals with an international mentality, aware of their role in the construction of a better, more peaceful world that understands and communicates with a variety of cultures.

Our students are inquirers, knowledgeable, thinkers, communicators, caring, principled, open minded, risk takers, balanced and reflective.

Beacon believes the school is a place where teachers continue to learn and grow. It is here that they are given the opportunity to develop professionally. Professional Development moments at Beacon School encompasses office hour moments for collaborative work, Wednesday meetings with a guiding theme for the school, courses and workshops done outside working hours subsidized by the school.

Beacon educators consistently work collaboratively with colleagues, coordinators and directors, as well as take part in professional development sessions. Teachers are often given the opportunity to meet educators from all over the world, sharing educational practices, teaching and learning, and thus creating a community of professional apprenticeship.

The school recognizes the difference that a good teacher can make in the life of a student and as a consequence promotes activities to create a working environment that is pleasant, challenging and respectful, and where good performance is acknowledged.
