Our purpose as a co-educational day school is to help your child explore and fulfil their talents in a caring, innovative and stimulating school environment. We believe strongly in developing the whole child within a holistic education, incorporating both academic and extra-mural activities.

If you seek to enrol your child in a school that consistently produces excellent academic, sporting and cultural performances, a school that is proud of its well-resourced classrooms and other facilities, its good public image and an alumni register that includes up-and-coming entrepreneurs, then Beaulieu College is as good as it gets.

Beaulieu College believes strongly in encouraging a commitment to service. We require our pupils to complete a number of community service hours at outside organisations annually, through the online platform "Community Hours" or through their own initiative. Our popular and active Interact Club is involved in several outreach projects each year. There are also opportunities to serve within the school environment in activities such as Public Relations, First Aid, Cricket Scoring and Sound and Lighting. In addition, we participate in external fundraising initiatives such as the Nelson Mandela Schools SleepOut.

From grade 9, pupils can start by completing a Bronze programme, then go on to do the Silver programme and complete the Gold programme. The President's Award programme offers a spirit of adventure and discovery. It allows the pupils to improve their performance in physical recreational activities and what it takes to develop one's practical skills.

Pupils who want to get ahead sign up for The President's Award for Youth Empowerment and embark on a journey which millions of young people throughout the world have completed. The Award offers young people from all walks of life the opportunity to develop their character and determines their future in contribution towards building a better South Africa for all. Read more about this phenomenal opportunity our pupils embark on.

While we remain committed to the local environment, Beaulieu College also seeks to promote an awareness of global context and global issues. Regional custom-designed tours national and custom-designed overseas tours are a regular offering in the academic, cultural and sporting arenas. We facilitate pupil participation in the World Challenge Programme every second year, to and from Europe, the UK, Asia and New Zealand in the Grade 10 year. These exchanges run for approximately 4-6 weeks and afford those pupils chosen the opportunity to attend top schools in their host countries while living with a family abroad. Reciprocally, our pupils are given the opportunity to host the exchange student with whom they resided for a 5 week period, while they experience schooling at Beaulieu College.

At Beaulieu College we pride ourselves on the close working partnership of teachers and pupils, together pursuing local and glpbal excellence. Operating transparently, communicating effectively, we mentor each child to achieve personal success.

Academic work is a core focus at Beaulieu College. Our advanced learning remediation and mentorship programmes, as well as small class sizes are geared toward academic and personal growth. Beaulieu College boast an overall pupil teacher ration of 11:1 with a maximum class size of 27. The results speak for themselves. Since inception our matric cohorts have achieved a 100% pass rate, with an average of 93% scoring Bachelor Degree (university entrance) status.

All our learning material is aligned with the Curriculum Assessment Policies (CAPs), as outlined by the National Curriculum Statement. While this serves as a framework, teachers supplement and enrich the content and skills in all subjects to ensure that material is dynamic and effective. Our pupils write the Independent Examinations Board's National Senior Certificate at the end of Grade 12.

It was Thomas Edison who said that “genius is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration”. Academic success is not realised overnight; it generally requires hours of concentrated effort, and sustained focus. Whilst our educators cannot do the work for pupils, we are dedicated to supporting all our pupils to develop a culture of academic success at Beaulieu College. For this reason, we offer support lessons for all subjects in the mornings and afternoon, dependent on the availability of our staff.

LEAP was developed to encourage a culture of academic excellence at Beaulieu College. It allows the top achievers in each grade to extend themselves beyond the confines of the classroom, often presenting opportunities that few are privileged to experience. A variety of activities are offered to pupils, with the intention to broaden their knowledge in new environments.

Involvement in the co-curricular programme at Beaulieu College provides an opportunity for achievement, enjoyment, the establishment of lifelong friendships and, above all, a well-rounded high school experience. We believe sport and cultural activities are integral to the hoistic development of the child.

The main goal of the co-curricular programme is to give pupils an opportunity to express themselves and develop skills outside of the classroom, while also enhancing social skills and mental health. In all codes emphasis is placed on teamwork, spirit, co-operation, communication, grit and resilience. These skills transfer from the co-curricular arena to other areas of the pupil's life. We believe every pupil has the ability to achieve something significant in sport and cultural activities, whether it be a reaching a personal goal, playing for a school team, or being selected to a district, provincial or even national level. All sports and cultural activities are played competitively at inter-house and inter-schools level.
