2. WILD EARTH SUMMER CAMP (May 26 – July 11)

The mission of Wild Earth Camp is to connect children to the natural environment while they learn and have fun. We do this through exploration, play and teaching earth skills like building natural structures, tracking wild animals, crafting, storytelling, and studying birds and native plants. We will spend all of our time outside in the fields, forest and along the streams at the 50-acre Piedmont Preserve located off of Chase St near downtown Athens.

3. SUMMER CAMPS – CLASSIC CITY KARATE (June 2 – June 27)

One of our most popular camps! Each day students learn about a different type of weapon, watch demonstrations of weapons being used, then design and create their own padded version. Students build SAFE and unique padded weapons and learn to use their creations. At the end of the week, students will have created at least 5 different weapons that they mix and match for challenges.

4. SUMMER ART CAMPS (June 2 – August 8)

This summer is full of deluxe art projects where we’ll use fancy shmancy art supplies. Will there be a t-shirt? Yep! Will there be some extra swag coming home? You betcha.Brella Summer Camps are designed for friends who have previously interacted with ‘Brella Studio at another event – like an art truck birthday or studio class – or by personal referral. This helps ensure artists are familiar with our environment and people since we’ll be spending a lot of time together at camp!

5. SUMMER CAMP – FROG STOMP STUDIO (June 2 – Aug 1)

The camp day will start with open studio from 9-9:30 where kids will be able to play or create their own art with any materials from open studio. Next we will have snack, then the first art session from 9:45-10:15, then a break for play, then the second art session from 10:45-11:15. The camp day will end with lunch and more play! Each week we will have two masterpieces that we work on each day, and several smaller works of art. There will be lots of messes and I encourage everyone to send your child in clothes that can be stained!

8. Summer Camp | Athens, OH (June 9th-August 8th) 

An activity room with childcare staff will be available for parents/guardians to drop off kids to play while they register for Summer Camp.All registration is in-person at the Athens Community Center. No registrations are being taken via online or over the phone due to paperwork that needs to be filled out. Spaces are limited and on a first come, first serve basis. After the registration party, any further registration will take place at the front desk of the Community Center.What’s Included: Summer Camp will be offered . Our amazing staff will lead theme-related games, crafts, activities, with weekly trips to the Athens Public Library, Athens Farmers’ Market, and more! Each week also includes two visits to the Athens City Pool. Lunches are provided free of charge through the Southeast Ohio Food Bank and HAPCAP.

The American College of Greece has a long tradition of excellence in the field of education in Greece. The Summer Camp, offered by the Deree College Athletic Club, is a part of this tradition and has provided an unparalleled experience for thousands of children; an experience which stems from a rich and balanced athletic, educational, and cultural program, which actively supports the philosophy of Pierce, inspired by the ancient Greek dictum “A Sound Mind in a Sound Body”.

The Summer Camp aims to develop the athletic and artistic skills of children 6 (going to grade 1 next September) – 13 years old (going to grade 8 next September), who want to spend their time creatively after the school year has ended. The children are divided into groups according to their age and knowledge level. The program is primarily in Greek but the English language is also used by the instructors.
