The Bright Futures Scholarship is an award supported by alumni and friends of Leeds Beckett University to ensure that the opportunity to experience and benefit from an education at Leeds Beckett University should be open to all regardless of their background.
The Bright Futures Scholarship is an award of £1,500 paid as £500 in first year, £750 insecond year and £250 in third year*. The scholarship is open to applications from students who meet the eligibility criteria. Successful applicants are selected after an application and interview process.
There are a limited number of scholarships available to award each academic year. There is one application and selection process each academic year.
Application Process
Students who are eligible according to information on their student record will be contacted via their student email address at the beginning of October. If you believe you are eligible but have not been contacted please contact the Bursary & Scholarship Officer (details below).
Applications will close at the beginning of November and shortlisted applicants invited to interviews taking place at the end of November.
Successful applicants will be notified at the beginning of December.
Payment
Payment of the scholarship will be made via the instalment schedule above, paid directly to a nominated bank account.
General
Full terms and conditions of the scholarship will be provided to successful applicants before formally accepting the scholarship.
The university retains the right to vary the terms and conditions of the application process as it deems appropriate.
