Brisbane Adventist College

Brisbane Adventist College imparts far more than academic knowledge. It fosters the balanced development of the whole person—spiritual, physical, intellectual, and social-emotional—a process that spans a lifetime. There are four characteristics that make up who BAC is and what it is about, including:

• Adventists have been pioneers in education and we are proud of our heritage and traditions. Brisbane Adventist College is a truly innovative and creative educator. A key focus is providing excellence in teaching and learning through a challenging and inclusive curriculum.
• We believe our role is more than to provide knowledge. It is to build character by developing the whole person through personal growth, scholarly education, community service and spiritual awareness.
• Being a Brisbane Adventist College student and parent means that you become part of an extended school community. This enhances our education program.

In 1966, a small Christian primary school was established on what had once been a large dairy farm facing Broadwater Road. It was, in fact, one of the first independent Christian schools established in the Mt Gravatt area. In 1972, a secondary school was established over the creek, along Wishart Road. Both schools grew steadily until 1999 when they were amalgamated with the Early Learning Centre into one College. Since the amalgamation, the College has operated with a single principal, two deputy principals (Primary and Secondary) and a director of Early Learning.
