We are a Junior School located in Kings Norton, Birmingham and have 221 children aged seven to eleven at the school. We share our site with Broadmeadow Infant School, with whom we have very close links and work in partnership to ensure an effective transition to children entering year 3.
We are blessed with staff who are committed to the well-being, happiness and development of the young people in our care each day. Working together we provide a supportive environment where each and every child feels valued, respected and safe.Broadmeadow Junior School is not just about academic success, it is about belonging to a community, experiencing enjoyment and friendship and challenging yourself to become the best person you can be. It is about learning and achieving more than you thought possible. It is about commitment to responsibility, understanding and respect.
Educating children is an exciting job, but it is an extremely demanding and difficult task to extend all of the children to the limit of their potential, whilst retaining a happy, caring and stim, ulating atmosphere. Our particular aim is to be found in the following statement: Working in partnership with parents and the community, this school aims to deliver effectively a broad, balanced and structured curriculum encompassing the National Curriculum and relevant parts of the Birmingham Curriculum, as well as our own Curriculum, in a happy and stimulating atmosphere which encourages tolerance, thoughtfulness and the development of self-discipline so that each child achieves success and is equipped with the necessary skills and attitudes for continued education, work and leisure.
We promote diversity through our celebrations of different faiths and cultures. Religious Education lessons and PSHE lessons reinforce messages of tolerance and respect for others. Members of different faiths and religions are encouraged to share their knowledge to enhance learning within classes and the school. The children visit places of worship that are important to different faiths and we have a range of visitors in to school.

Thank you once again for doing your part to keep Edarabia the most trusted education source.
I worked many years at Broadmeadow Junior School and for 3 years in the Infants. My time spent at Broadmeadow was one of total enjoyment. All staff are dedicated and keen to make the childrens experience one of enjoyment and fulfilment as well as gaining valuable knowledge in the process. The Staff work hard to make lessons enjoyable and for the children to gain 100% satisfaction and confidence. I am full of praise for Broadmeadow. I have so many fond memories of staff and children but feeling I was a part of a large, happy family. Wonderful staff, wonderful children and wonderful parents led by a wonderful Leadership Team.
