Our curriculum is geared to a 13+ exit, and boys regularly win places and scholarships in all subjects to some of the country’s leading public schools – both day and boarding. Above all, we will work with parents to ensure that a boy goes to the school that is right for him.

With 260 boys and no plans to get any bigger, we are small enough for everyone to know each other well and large enough to field teams that can hold their own against much bigger schools. Sport is a large part of a Northcote boy’s life and we are lucky to have the green expanse of Wandsworth common just across the road. With a long but rewarding school day we can offer boys the opportunity for plenty of extra-curricular opportunities and the benefit of doing all homework at school so that come 6.00pm a boy can go home and relax, knowing his day’s work is done.

When Katharine Mears, (now Colquhoun), founded Broomwood Hall School in Clapham in 1984, the independent pre-preparatory school for boys and girls aged 4-8 of which she is still joint Principal, most boys’ parents envisaged that they would go to boarding school at eight, so keeping boys after that age never formed a part of the plan for Broomwood Hall.
