The school aims to create a broad, balanced and relevant education for all pupils, in a safe and caring atmosphere. Burry Port is a small seaside town, some five miles to the west of Llanelli. The area is one which is developing economically, with recent developments in the field of tourism and leisure. ICT is regarded as a valuable tool that promotes a learning partnership which includes pupils, staff, governors, parents, carers and the whole community.

Every pupil and member of staff in the school has a Hwb account. Hwb provides a secure learning platform for pupils to use a range of ICT tools and to communicate safely. Hwb includes Microsoft Office 365 tools, including email, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. We use Hwb to work on the curriculum in school and pupils can also access their learning at home. Hwb is funded by Welsh Government and is available free to all schools in Wales.

At Burry Port Community Primary School, we welcome, value and respect everyone. We're responsible citizens, who are ready to learn to be the best that we can be, challenging and supporting each other along the way.
