Cagri Bulut

Prof.Dr. Cagri Bulut served more than ten years in management positions in his higher education career such as Dean of the Business Faculty, acting dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Director of the Graduate School of Social Sciences, Director of the Strategic Planning and Excellence Office, Chair of the Business Administration Department during his tenure track between assistant professor and professor of Management and Strategy. He holds a bachelor's degree from the Faculty of Economics, Istanbul University, an MSc in the Science of Strategy, and a PhD in Business from Gebze Institute of Technology (GIT). He is the Academy of Management, Entrepreneurship Division Ambassador to Turkey.

Before his academic faculty positions, he worked as a postdoctoral economist at the FAO of the United Nations, CountrySTAT Project, in Rome, Italy. He acted as Planning and Quality Director in large manufacturing corporations.

He has published extensively on strategic management of innovation, employee attitudes, and corporate entrepreneurship, with his research receiving over 3000 citations. He focuses on competitiveness, culture-based strategic orientations, firm performance, social and technological innovations, intrapreneurship, and SDGs.

In addition to tutoring PhD students, he has been a visiting professor in several European countries, including Italy, Portugal, Belgium, Slovenia, Latvia, and Germany. He has participated in numerous projects funded by organizations such as TUBITAK, ISI-FRAUNHOFER (Germany), ERASMUS+, and other EU-funded initiatives, completing over 25 projects with partners in over 40 countries.

Prof.Dr. Bulut is a member of various entrepreneurship-related commissions at TUBITAK and KOSGEB, a Council Member of the Third Council of the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Industry of Turkey, and represents Turkey in the OECD and other organizations supporting entrepreneurship. He has also served on the editorial boards of prominent business journals.

Besides his commitments to universities as an adjunct professor, Prof.Dr. Bulut is a senior strategy consultant to executive boards and partnerships in various businesses that operate in diverse sectors such as educational technology, smart workplaces, creative arts, and business solutions mostly in Türkiye. He continues his research on intrapreneurship and corporate entrepreneurship. He delivers training in innovation management, building intrapreneurship culture in organizations, and managing transitions in the real life of family businesses.
