Caldicot School

Caldicot is an 11-18 co-education school with over 1300 students in Monmouthshire. We are located between Chepstow and Newport and the school is easily accessible via the M4 corridor and on the northern side of the Severn Estuary. We are committed to the achievement of all and we seek to ensure all students receive the best possible start in life.

We seek to ensure every child in our care achieves their full potential academically; develops the skills necessary to be successful in our ever-changing world; and understands a sense of morality guided by our honesty; tolerance; respect; and responsibility. We are committed to providing all students with high quality learning experiences, a strong pastoral system and an extensive range of sporting, cultural, physical and extra-curricular activities.

Caldicot School has a unique relationship with The Bishop of Llandaff CiW High School in Cardiff. An Executive Headteacher has overall responsibility for academic progress, provision and leadership at both schools, while the day-to-day management is led by a Head of School. As a partnership of two schools, our aim is to share the best practice in learning, teaching and leadership to support sustained performance in both schools. Collectively, we recognize that Caldicot is a school with infinite potential. Our students, as you will see yourself should you visit us, are on the whole happy, hard-working and positive about the school. In addition, we have a committed team of staff who are enthusiastic and passionate about supporting the young people in our care.

Founded in the late 1950s, Caldicot School has provided an education to families from within the town and surrounding areas for more than sixty years. In 2017, the school relocated to a brand new site and now boast some of the finest educational facilities in the country.
