Carthage Classical Academy (CCA) originated in May 2013, when several parents seeking a quality education for their children came together to discuss the options available in Tunis. They all had a desire for a well-rounded classical American education with an emphasis on French and Arabic.

After exploring the options, the founding parents began the paperwork to officially form the Carthage Classical Educational Association (CCEA) as a Tunisian association. Final approval for CCEA was received from the Ministery of Education in August 2015.

Carthage Classical Academy (SARL) was officially formed in 2017. Carthage Classical Academy expanded to include both a middle and high school in 2019. The school is currently in the accreditation process through both Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools- Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools and ACSI..
