Cesar Ritz Colleges Switzerland is comprised of three campuses: the historic centre of Lucerne, lakeside at Le Bouveret, and up in the mountains at Brig. Bachelor students can choose between Le Bouveret and Lucerne for their first two years, before moving up to Brig for their final year. All Master students are based full time at our Brig campus. At Cesar Ritz Colleges, we provide our students with a truly Swiss journey through hospitality education. Our programmes give students the best of both worlds: a ‘Ritzy’ Swiss hospitality education in campuses drenched in history and tradition combined with an American/British approach to business management and entrepreneurship.
Their studies lead them to a fully elaborated, realistic business plan that is ready to be implemented after graduation. Close industry partnerships with global industry leaders, including the Ritz Paris hotel and UBS, in combination with strong university partners in the USA (Washington State University) and the UK (University of Derby), enable graduates to confidently implement their strategies.
As a member school of Swiss Education Group, all of our students are part of one of the world's largest hospitality alumni networks and have exclusive access to the International Recruitment Forum (held in Montreux) twice a year. As an extra bonus, Le Bouveret and Lucerne students share their campus with Culinary Arts Academy students, another of Swiss Education Group's member schools. This offers all Bachelor students the chance to organise events and develop their hospitality skills alongside future chef entrepreneurs.
When you join a Swiss Education Group school, you will become a part of a bigger family. Whether you find yourself far from home for the first time, or if you need a bit of friendly academic advice, we make sure there is always some you can talk to.In our school, learning continues beyond the classroom walls. There are excellent opportunities to participate in social and sporting activities throughout Switzerland and Europe. The Student Ambassador Forum organises multiple events including ski trips, excursions around Switzerland, sports days and themed nights.
Le Bouveret is a charismatic French-speaking town nestled on the shores of Lake Geneva, just a five-minute drive to neighbouring France. Known for its beautiful beach and many outdoor attractions, Le Bouveret is a popular summer resort. Conveniently located near the vibrant towns of Montreux and Lausanne, the nearest airport is Geneva International Airport. Located in a magnificent former hotel dating back to the early 1900s, the César Ritz campus is just minutes away from the town centre and the lake.
The entire campus is set in a magnificent 26,000m2 lakeside location and offers a tranquil and secure study environment. The main building holds classrooms, accommodation, The Ritz Lounge and the academic and operations offices. The new campus extension, finished in 2012, provides 100 fully equipped single superior deluxe rooms, kitchen faculty and instructors’ offices and state-of-the-art kitchen facilities in collaboration with the Culinary Arts Academy Switzerland.
Students apply food and beverage theory they have learned when applying service skills at the Cesar Ritz Fine Dining, a traditional fine-dining restaurant serving an à la carte menu for lunch and dinner.A full-time librarian is on hand, in the wellstocked library, to assist with students’ questions. Students also have access to a wide range of online catalogues, articles and iPad resources.
All student accommodation is designed to offer students the comfort and privacy needed for study or to simply relax.Bedrooms are spacious, modern and comfortable; all are non-smoking. Rooms are located both in the main school building overlooking the lake and in the adjacent Bellevue building set among the trees. Double standard rooms are reserved upon receiving the deposit payment. All other room types can only be confirmed once full payment of school fees has been received. Allocation is made on a first-pay, first-served basis.
The aim of the Student Ambassador Forum is to represent the entire student body. The committee strives to offer students a diverse, unique and unforgettable college experience by:
Social activities provide you with the opportunity to get to know your fellow students away from the campus environment and can often help develop your professional knowledge. Here are a few examples of events and excursions traditionally organised by the Student Ambassador Forum:
