CEVRO Institute is a private college offering undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate programs, many unique. It offers accredited bachelor’s and master’s programs focusing on legal and social sciences, within which students can study the disciplines of law, political science, economics, sociology, security, public administration and modern management methods.

Great emphasis is laid on students: CEVRO Institute creates conditions for their personal development, teaches them to form and stand up for their own opinions. An individual approach is a given. CEVRO Institute offers a unique world-class three-trimester long master’s degree program – Philosophy, Politics, Economics (PPE).PPE is an interdisciplinary program modeled on the successful PPE program at the University of Oxford (which was attended by the Prime Ministers David Cameron or Tony Abbott).The program integrates the study of political philosophy, politics and political economy.The master´s program provides a unique understanding of current economic and political processes.The lecturers are renowned academics from leading universities in the Czech Republic, the USA and Europe.The program is taught completely in English.

CEVRO Institute has established partnerships with a number of universities and educational institutions around the world in order to cooperate in the areas of student and faculty exchange, research, and other joint projects.

The school library is located in the CEVRO Institut building and contains thousands of books on social sciences, economics, law and other disciplines, including psychology, management or communication. Major libraries of the Academy of Science and several Prague universities are located a few blocks away from CEVRO Institute and are very easy to reach.

Living in Prague if fun and relatively inexpensive. (Here is a nice page giving you an idea about living costs.) There are many options where to stay. Students of the CEVRO Institute may use all dorms in a pool of accommodation facilities in Prague, which is owned by Prague universities and open for all university students. Students may also wish to arrange their own housing in Prague through many commercial agencies.
A semester abroad at the CEVRO Institute provides students with the opportunity to experience a new culture, meet exciting students from across the globe, and learn amongst world-class professors and lecturers.

The academic year is divided into 3 trimesters: fall term, spring term and summer term. The fall term lasts approximately from the end of September to mid-February. The spring term lasts roughly from mid-February to mid-June. The summer term lasts from mid-June to the end September. Each semester has a lecture period (first 12 weeks) in which students attend lectures (The lecture period of the fall term hence ends before the Christmas break.) The spring and fall terms have also a 6-week-long exam period for which there are no more lectures as students will be preparing for the exams and working on their papers. (Lectures in the summer term are not delivered in a weekly regime and the term does not have an extra exam period.)

The courses taught in English—listed below—are designed both for international students (including Erasmus students) and CEVRO Institute students who have been studying social science (or a similar program) at least one year on the undergraduate level. The courses cover a wide range of topics and disciplines such as political science, international relations, history or applied economics. After completion, students are awarded easily transferable European credits (For more on ECTS see below). International students are advised to sign up for about 5 courses in each semester.

CEVRO Institute does not have its own accommodation capacities. Still, there are plenty of opportunities to find accommodation in Prague. Students usually find their accommodation on their own. They may also ask the International office and CEVRO Institute buddy students for help. Prague is a very unique place with many things to see and enjoy.
