Welcome to Cheetwood
On behalf of the governors, staff and children, I would like to warmly welcome you to Cheetwood Primary School.
Choosing the right school for your child is one of the most important decisions you will make as a parent. This website will showcase our school and give you a wealth of information to show you what a unique place Cheetwood is.
We are a small, diverse, community school and we pride ourselves on firmly holding the children’s best interests at the centre of everything we do. Our welcoming family environment means we know each and every child. The multicultural nature of the school population and its inner-city locality close to the heart of Manchester are a constant source of inspiration for the children’s learning.
Cheetwood is proud to be a Rights Respecting School and is committed to delivering the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child within school and beyond. The school has recently been awarded Bronze: Rights Committed.
We believe in the power of relationships and pride ourselves on the excellent ones we have with our parents, carers and the local community. Developing strong home school links is key to supporting our children.
We believe that all children deserve an excellent start on their educational journey. We welcome children from three years old into our nursery where we offer 30 hours free provision to all, regardless of eligibility.
Safeguarding is the golden thread that runs throughout our school. All staff are committed to ensuring children receive a high-quality education in a nurturing, inclusive environment and are well prepared for the next stage of life, both academically and holistically.
Ethos and Values Statement
