Clifford International School

Clifford School has been affiliated with the Canadian Province of Manitoba for 20 years. This affiliation has developed into a strong and trustworthy partnership. The Manitoba curriculum has helped prepare many students in the Clifford Estates community for post-secondary education and the workforce.

Our International program and our dual Sino-Manitoba programs prepare students for their futures in top post-secondary programs in Canada, the United States, Hong Kong, Korea, and around the world. Clifford International School has state-of-the-art facilities including a new field, indoor gymnasium, computer labs, science labs, drama and music rooms, a swimming pool, and a makerspace. It is located in Clifford Estates, which is a safe and beautiful community located in Panyu, on the southern edge of Guangzhou. The school is situated on a larger campus that also holds Clifford’s prestigious bilingual school and our bilingual kindergarten. With access to 53 classrooms, four science labs, two art rooms, two computer labs, two music rooms, two drama rooms, and a maker space room, students at CIS are provided the necessary space and resources to support a variety of STEAM initiatives. Our theatre has the capacity to accommodate nearly 250 students.

Our school has two libraries supporting our elementary and secondary divisions. With over 20,000 volumes of literature and curricular-relevant material, students are able to prepare for classes or read for enrichment. Students are also able to use the computers found in the two libraries to do research and complete homework.

Our athletics facilities consist of a 2,000 sq. meter air-conditioned indoor gym, large enough for two full-sized basketball courts. The gym has a classroom for health education as well as a dedicated weight room with treadmills, free weights, and strength machines. With one of the largest turf fields in Guangzhou (25,000 sq. meters) our students are able to play sports outside with a 9m x 5m digital board keeping track of the scores. Surrounding the field is a 400 m track with 8 lanes. CIS also has 10 outdoor basketball courts, a tennis court, and a 50-meter pool with stadium seating.

Students and parents have access to the school via 4 separate gates. Our new underground entrance through the 4-leveled parking garage ensures entrance and pickup occurs without the effects of rain ensuring a dry arrival to school.
