Welcome to the Coloma Convent Girls’ School website. Thank you for visiting, and we hope you find your time here enjoyable and informative.

Selecting a secondary school for your daughter is one of the most important decisions a parent can make. We understand it might seem to be a daunting endeavour, and as such we aim to help by sharing our Catholic vision of educating the whole child and our pursuit of excellence, reflected by our everyday experiences here at Coloma, in order to assist you in making an informed decision.

Founded in 1869 by The Ladies of Mary, now known as The Daughters of Mary and Joseph, Coloma remains rooted in the values and vision of the Sisters. The school's motto continues to influence every member of our vibrant community.

At Coloma, we take pride in our unique Catholic ethos, where our primary objective is to empower every girl to reach her full potential, both academically and personally. We are dedicated to fostering self-confidence in every student and inspiring them to strive for excellence in every facet of their lives.

As a school, we passionately believe in developing and nurturing our students to be well rounded, responsible and dynamic Catholic citizens both now and in the future.

We ensure there are many opportunities for pupils to develop a wide variety of characteristics and values to help equip them to be active citizens in the Coloma community as well as in the wider world.

Our school mottos is Laborare est Orare which translates from Latin as “to work is to pray”. Christ is at the heart of all things at Coloma and pupils are encouraged to offer all of their work and daily efforts to the greater glory of God.

The mantra that we live our daily lives by is “Work Hard & Be Kind”. All members of the community demonstrate kindness through small daily acts as well as larger planned activities throughout the academic year. Hard work and being the very best versions of ourselves ensures that we experience success and create a community of safety and happiness.
