Crawford Sandton has achieved top academic results in the country and has repeatedly been awarded “Top Independent School” by the Gauteng Department of Education. We are equally proud of our achievements in the cultural, sporting and community service spheres.

The Sandton College is also proud of its achievements in the cultural fields. Every year we are winners of many public speaking trophies, numerous debates and are the hosts of the widely acclaimed One Act Play Festival held at the Theatre on the Square. Our Art and Design departments are highly praised for the creativity and skill evident in the work produced.

A wide range of sports are available for every ability level and they focus on team building, spirit and participation. We have also achieved excellence in a number of sports, being one of the top swimming schools in Johannesburg, soccer champions and having a number of formidable netball teams.

CrawfordSchools™ has a “multiform” that encourages individuality. By offering options within the uniform, students can mix and match the casual uniform daily, allowing for freedom of expression within acceptable boundaries.

We offer the widest and most flexible subject choices for Grade 8 - 12 students, with a choice of up to 23 subjects. Our timetable allows an almost limitless combination of subjects and each student is time-tabled individually according to his/her subject requirements.

Our students are committed to supporting their community and they actively participate in environmental and community projects. The school is a member of “Generation Earth” and ongoing recycling, e-waste, cartridge collections, clean-ups and energy saving projects are an integral part of the school. A very large and successful Interact Club (sponsored by the Sandton Rotary Club) undertakes projects with the aged, abandoned babies, numerous AIDS programmes, Ma Afrika Tikkun, and many other organisations. Students are given numerous opportunities to develop their leadership skills via the Student Executive, Peer Counselling, GYLC, Junior Council, Student Council, the SRC, and by initiating and managing many projects in the school.
