Dennis Gabor College

The mission of our College is to provide high-quality educational training which satisfies the requirements of the labour market and meets the challenges of both Hungary and the world.

People who apply to our institution are devoted to the much sought-after fields of engineering and economics. They are keen to work in the theoretical and practical fields of economics, computing and information technology. Apart from up-to-date theoretical basics and practical courses, our students are instructed in fundamental professional areas as well. This way students can effectively prepare for a successful entry into the labour market and for gaining further degrees e.g. MSc/MA.

In the first 15 years of our College, tens of thousands of students have started their information technology studies. More than 11,000 of those students have graduated and have begun work as successful professionals in various fields of computing.

Our campus is located in Budapest, the capital of Hungary, in the heart of Europe. Dennis Gabor College offers an excellent teaching and learning environment on its Budapest campus. It has a modern, new building, which was opened in 2009 and meets the highest international standards. The campus is equipped with the latest technology and provides excellent teaching/learning environment and has the same time a personal atmosphere.

There are well equipped smaller and bigger tutorial suites, seminar rooms and big lecture halls (from 15 to 250 seats) that will help you to get most of every lecture and seminar.

There are a lot of technical suites available with impressive IT facilities that will ensure you have all the resources you need to make the best of your studies

We believe that student support is an essential component of student life. Dennis Gabor College is committed to provide a wide range of student support from the point of admission up to graduation.

Personalized advice and support are well organized at the institute as part of the mentor’s and tutors’ network. We know: being a university student is different from your previous experiences and we will help you to ensure that you are settled in your accommodation, you enrol into your course, and you find your way around. Support is provided by a group of dedicated staff.

The Student Service Centre and other student organisations have been operating for more than 20 years at our College. Our Student Service Centre conducts student surveys, coordinates important databases and follows up students career after graduation.

A Talent Centre is operated at DGC. A wide range of support is provided to the extraordinary talented students. They are allowed to follow an individual curriculum and the most creative and innovative students are supported by scholarships. They organize Students’ workshops
Dennis Gabor College is a state-recognized private institution of higher education with independent legal entity, accredited by the Hungarian Accreditation Committee. The College operates as a non-profit organization, established and sustained by Dennis Gabor Technical Informatics College Distance Education Foundation.

The operation of the college is supervised by the Board of Trustees that is commissioned to follow the interest of the sustainer. The Board of Trustees is also responsible for fulfilling the goals and objectives of the Foundation.

The board responsible for decision-making and supervising the execution of decisions is the Senate, chaired by the Rector of the College.
