Choosing a school is one of the most important decisions you will ever make. This choice is very personal to each family and we hope our website will help you in that decision. You are very welcome to come in to Dr. Triplett's for an informal chat and a tour around our school.
We believe that your child’s education is a partnership between home, school and child therefore you will be encouraged to be fully involved with your child’s learning. We will welcome your active participation in the life of the school through voluntary help, becoming part of the Parent Teacher and Friends’ Association as well as supporting your child with his/her homework and our behaviour policy.
Once your child is part of our Dr Triplett’s family, you will be invited to regular parent consultation evenings with the teachers as well as meetings to keep you fully informed of both planned learning and your child's progress. However, our staff are always available to discuss any aspect of your child’s education and welfare on a daily basis. We are certain your child will enjoy their time here, discovering and developing a wide range of different abilities to the full. We aim for every child to thrive through 'Learning for Life'.
Our website outlines our aims and policies, which we hope will enable you to gain an overall picture of our expectations for your child’s development.
We want to serve our community by providing a broad education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice. An understanding of the meaning and significance of faith, promoting the Christian values of Love, Compassion and Respect for each other is encouraged. This ethos underpins everything we do. We look forward to working with you and hope you will feel very much part of our school family.
At Dr Triplett’s we aim to serve our community, providing an education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice. We encourage understanding of the meaning and significance of faith, promoting forgiveness and unity through the Christian values of Love, Compassion and Respect, which permeate every aspect of school life both in how we treat one another and the ways we teach. We inspire every child to be the best they can be to prepare them for the next stage in their life’s journey.
We aim to provide a warm, caring environment where the children feel secure and valued. As a Church of England School we uphold Christian values whilst embracing the diversity of the human family. We believe that our children should learn in an environment which is tolerant and respectful of all beliefs and cultures.
We aim to provide a broad and balanced curriculum that will enable each child to reach their full potential and develop their interests, talents and skills. We want pupils to develop lively, enquiring minds with ability to question, discuss and formulate ideas and we want them to become independent learners.
We aim to encourage physical development, team spirit and personal excellence in sport. We aim to give children a wide range of experiences which will extend their understanding of themselves and the world they live in, and enable them to acquire the basic concepts, values and attitudes which will form a sound basis for secondary school and eventually for adult life.
We encourage children to show consideration and respect for other members of the school and wider community and to develop a sense of responsibility for themselves, for others and for the environment. We aim to provide opportunities for spiritual growth and development through collective worship, times for reflection and opportunities for prayer.
We seek to establish an effective partnership between home, school, church and the community for the well being of the children and the success of the school.
