dans provides efficient, safe and reliable air traffic management (ATM) services to its valued customers. Air traffic control (ATC) operations are responsible for all aircraft arriving and departing from Dubai and the Northern Emirates. In addition, the organisation currently delivers approach services for all four airports (DXB, DWC, Sharjah International and Al Minhad Air Base) from a combined facility at DWC and tower services at both Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC). dans also provides additional operational support services including.

Dubai’s air traffic volumes have grown 85 percent over the past decade, and we are proud to serve an average of 33* arrivals and 37* departure movements during peak hours at Dubai International Airport.

• We provide services to a global network of 140 airlines, and in 2014 we enabled 70 million passengers to safely reach 270 destinations.
• Our air traffic controllers are amongst the world’s most experienced and manage the world’s biggest fleet of A380s.
• We are enabling the UAE’s aviation sector to achieve seven percent annual growth.
• We safely and efficiently manage an average of 1,338 air traffic movements every day.
• The world’s largest 3D tower simulator is owned and operated by dans.

Aviation as an industry is not only witnessing a remarkable transformation amidst unprecedented growth, but it is also establishing itself as a key enabler of economic growth. In Dubai alone, aviation contributes nearly 30 percent to the emirate’s GDP. Across the UAE, aircraft movements are expected to reach 1.62 million by the year 2030 – of which nearly 5,000 daily flights will be originating/terminating at one of the country’s many international airports.

Headlining this impressive growth is Dubai International – the world’s busiest airport for international passengers. The challenges we face in ensuring safe and efficient air traffic management – both on the ground and in air – cannot be overstated.
