Everest International School, Japan (EISJ)

Everest International School, Japan (EISJ) is an international school established in April 2013 to serve the educational needs of children of Nepalese Diaspora as well as Japanese and other international students. The prime mission of EISJ is to provide a quality and affordable English medium education to our students.

EISJ operates all classes from Nursery through Grade 12. Studies at EISJ are based on a curriculum prescribed by the Curriculum Development Center from Nepal. Everest International School, Japan is able to bring the attention to other foreign communities including Japanese within a short period of time. We accept some selected applications of the students from New Zealand, USA, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Japan. To meet the expectation’s of the international communities, we have started to upgrade our infrastructures, labs, library, vehicles and much more. We have hired special teachers for those with disabilities, special educational needs and to properly use the teaching methods to engage and support them in their learning. The main language of teaching and learning at EISJ is English.

History
The establishment of EISJ in April 2013 came as a culmination of years of effort and desire of Nepalese community in Japan to establish a Nepalese curriculum based school that could cater to the educational needs of the Nepalese children growing up in Japan. The need for the establishment of the school was felt in the backdrop of rapidly increasing Nepalese population in Japan and the corresponding need to provide English medium education to the students.

In order to open and operate the school in Japan, Non Profit Organization Nepal Education Center, Japan was established in December 2012. The school was officially started in April 2013 under the management of Nepal Education Center, Japan. The initial funding for the establishment of school was contributed by the the members of Nepali community in Japan.

Ministry of Education of Nepal Government formally endorsed the operation of school in March 2015. Everest International School, Japan is the only school being operated outside Nepal using the English medium Nepalese curriculum.
