Faith Lutheran College, Plainland is a co-educational, Christian secondary school providing outstanding education and extensive future pathways to students in Years 7-12. Proudly Christian and offering a welcoming, safe and inclusive environment to all students, we believe that each and every learner has God-given gifts and talents to develop and discover as they progress through their unique educational journey.

Established in 1999, Faith Lutheran College is situated within the expanding rural community of Plainland, mid-way between Ipswich and Toowoomba in Queensland’s Lockyer Valley region.

Purpose-built to deliver high-quality secondary education, our campus footprint encompasses 70 acres of land, designed to support a diverse curriculum of teaching and learning. The space afforded by our rural setting enables our college to offer a number of specialised facilities for students, including:

  • A fully-equipped agricultural and rural operations precinct;
  • A multi-disciplinary trade training centre;
  • An industry grade hospitality training kitchen; and,
  • A state-of-the-art sports auditorium and fitness centre.

Proudly Christian, with strong ties to the Lutheran Church of Australia, we offer an inclusive, encouraging and supportive environment for all students. Committed to preparing our students for success in post-school life, we embrace the needs of the individual learner, providing pathways and opportunities for every student to excel and grow both inside of the classroom, and as citizens of the world.

At Faith we provide an educational program that develops the whole child. We focus on the intellectual, social, emotional, spiritual, and creative domains of each child, and the wellbeing of our students is at the centre of what we do.

An article from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), describes the Top 9 Megatrends that will shape the world in 2030. This is a time that our students/children will be a part of. Both parents and schools have a joint responsibility to prepare them for this future. Change is at the heart of entrepreneurship, and our future generations will fail if we do not develop the capacity in our students to identify unmet needs.
