Falcons Pre Preparatory School for Boys

The Falcons Pre-Preparatory School for Boys, is a non-selective, independent school for boys aged 3 – 7, based in Chiswick. The school, formerly Falkner House Boys, was founded in 1956 and at that time located in Notting Hill.In September 1989 the school transferred to its Pre-Prep site in Burnaby Gardens, changing its name to The Falcons.The Pre-Prep is the founding member of the Falcons Schools, part of the Alpha Plus Group, one of the UK’s most successful educational organisations.The Falcons School for Girls, located in Putney was acquired in 2001, and the Falcons Preparatory Department in Richmond, catering for boys 7 – 13, opened in September 2008.

The Falcons School for Boys can now offer continuous quality education for boys from 3 years through to 13 years.Movement from the Pre – Prep to the Prep is automatic, subject only to an internal English and Mathematics assessment. For those parents who wish to look to other preparatory schools, we continue to prepare boys for 7+ highly competitive school entry as well as a vast array of West London Prep schools. Our guiding principle is that we will support and help our boys to make the move on to their next school at whatever point is most appropriate for them. Achieving academic excellence is something that all of our boys strive for and many gain successful entry to the destination schools of their choice.

Our Pre-Prep has a vibrant atmosphere filled with laughter and fun, where children are encouraged, nurtured and motivated at every turn. Our school is a place where boys are cared for and valued as individuals within a happy family orientated atmosphere. When your son joins us, he will be prepared for each new challenge he faces as he progresses through the school.

With this in mind we deliver a fast paced and stimulating curriculum including a wide range of clubs, sporting activities and educational visits which enhance learning for our pupils. Rarely a day goes by where boys are not overheard eagerly discussing their next fixture or excursion.

The curriculum is tailored to the individual needs of the boys, building on their knowledge and encouraging them to achieve. Every boy has equal access to the full curriculum and well-planned purposeful activities which are created with effective insight from skilled practitioners. We provide a modern, bright and stimulating environment, which allows the boys to access a variety of appropriate age specific learning equipment and materials.

The school does not tolerate bullying of any kind. If we discover that an act of bullying or intimidation has taken place, we take immediate steps to stop any further occurrences of such behaviour. We do everything in our power to ensure that all children attend school free from fear and prejudice. In very rare circumstances, the Headmaster reserves the right, in consultation with the parents and governors to exclude a child.
