Job Summary

Jobs at this level are responsible for delivering end- to-end financial transactions, performing complex account reconciliations, zakat & tax implications, accruals and analysis of accounting/financial information. In addition, they are responsible for generating zakat & tax and financial reports, resolving any identified accounting issues and verifying the adherence of financial processes to relevant standards.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting:

  • Undertake complex accounting activities within the specified area of work, ensuring accurate reconciliation and updated book keeping.
  • Analyze accounting process activities to increase their effectiveness and ensure timeliness and accuracy of accounting records.
  • Drive implementation of accounting policies and procedures and standardizes reporting templates to ensure compliance with relevant procedural and legal requirements.
  • Ensure that relevant accounting procedures from a compliance and legal perspective are implemented so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.

Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare all management information reports including routine and non – routine reports to ensure compliance with statutory and audit requirements and to provide internal customers with relevant information to support operational and strategic decision – making.
  • Evaluate accounting reports to identify variances and their causes, highlights discrepancies, if any and recommendations for course correction.

Generic Role:

  • Manage day-to-day team operations within a specified scope, by undertaking related work processes and ensuring accuracy.
  • Undertake relevant analysis to provide necessary information and assistance to internal and external customers.
  • Liaise with other supervisors to build effective working relationships and identifies synergies.
  • Drive data collation on the current and past performance of the hedge positions taken by STC.
  • Support team members and resolves routine queries to ensure work continuity.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance / MIS / Marketing / Engineering / Computer Science

Required Experience

5 – 7 Years of experience in the financial planning, profitability analysis area.

  • Intermediate proficiency in business acumen
  • Intermediate proficiency in data collection and analysis
  • Intermediate proficiency in accounting standards ex. IFRS, GAAP and other relevant standards
  • Intermediate proficiency in financial reporting and zakat & tax Intermediate proficiency in Software Development Lifecycle
  • Advanced proficiency in Software Testing
  • Intermediate proficiency in Vendor Management
  • Intermediate proficiency in ERP systems
