Finland Oman School (FOS) is a Candidate School* for the Middle Years Programme (MYP) and a Primary Years Programme (PYP) evaluated school. This school is pursuing authorization as an IB World School. During my four years of working in the Finnish education system, I gained invaluable experience as a teacher. I learned to adopt a student-centered approach, tailoring my teaching methods to meet the individual needs of each student. The focus on active learning and critical thinking helped me encourage students to engage with the material and solve problems independently. I worked in a supportive and flexible environment that prioritized both academic achievement and students' well-being. Additionally, I had the opportunity to foster students' social and emotional development alongside their academic growth. The autonomy granted to teachers allowed me to experiment with innovative teaching methods, while collaboration with colleagues enriched my teaching strategies. I also integrated technology into the classroom to enhance the learning experience and participated in continuous professional development, further improving my skills. Most importantly, I embraced the inclusive nature of the Finnish education system, ensuring all students, regardless of background or ability, had the opportunity to succeed in addition to the integration of the International Baccalaureate with the Finnish system, this integration enhances the development of students' academic and personal skills, preparing them to better face future challenges. I am proud to be part of this educational institution.
