The UAE Flag embodies the principles of courage, mental strength, peace, and optimism, which Beaconhouse Private School Al Ain commemorated on Flag Day 2022.
Primary students created a giant flag by using paper flowers and hand prints that they had made. While each flower or print alone did not form the UAE flag, when they come together they create something bigger, better and stronger.
Secondary students embodied 21st century skills by creating a mural of what the UAE flag means to them. All staff and students also proudly dressed in the colours of our vibrant flag. This concept of togetherness and collaboration lies at the heart of both our own objectives and the UAE’s ambitions. During our Special Assembly, which was attended by distinguished guests, the Student Council spoke to the entire school about the significance of Flag Day and the relentless efforts of Sheikh Zayed and the founding fathers. As our Head Boy and Head Girl proudly lifted and saluted the Flag, the school recited the national anthem with admiration to renew our dedication to these principles. Raise it up. Raise it proud
