On the recommendation of Head, School of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering, Senate will determine the number of scholarships awarded in any year
Established in 1994 and maintained by the income from a bequest from the late Frank Joseph Murphy. Awarded to students undertaking a Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (including dual program) or Bachelor of Engineering / Master of Engineering or Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) / Master of Engineering in a major administered by the School of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering.

Selection criteria:
The Bursary is awarded on the basis of academic merit and the value of the proposed study for the engineering component of the BE or BE (Hons) or BE / ME.
