George Brown College opened its doors in 1968, welcoming just over 2,000 students. In addition to programs in construction, early childhood education, dental services and the culinary arts – subjects we continue to teach – we once offered programs that might not be quite as relevant today, like sign writing or watchmaking. Believe it or not, we even prepared students for careers at sea through a marine engineering program.
The Facilities Management Department provides a comprehensive range of services such as space planning, the design, building construction, renovations, engineering, maintenance, energy management, housekeeping, furnishings, grounds maintenance and transportation. It is responsible for operating and maintaining buildings at all College Campuses: St. James Campus, Casa Loma Campus, Ryerson Campus and Waterfront Campus.

I literally attend only Farhad Taghina's classes. Materials Testing is the only course where I actually learn something and he sure knows how to teach. Disciplined guy. He is very precise and he wants his students to achieve more. Lucky George Brown, there are not many teachers like him. That 5 star goes to material testing!

George Brown college is one of the best college in Canada as specially in Ontario. It is in top 10 colleges of Canada as well as great placements for students. I am an international student I have got offer letter from this college. International students have first choice to study in this college. Main drawback is admission department take a lot of time to give you offer letter but it is totally fine because it will be worth in your future.

A huge focus on hands on training is top notch as well as understanding and theory. Many useful presenters throughout the courses and real life job experience with clients from all over the GTA in many of the programs, including mine at our George Brown Spa for Medical Esthetics
