I completed my cert III health assistant last year. My experience with the vocational placement team was awful as the outline of the vocational placement were very misleading when I initially signed up. If you are currently working and wanting to up skill yourself to change your career pathway into the nursing sector I would not recommend the Gold Coast Tafe.
Thankfully our trainer Kate Ivey was brilliant and I was able to meet some awesome people in my class.

Gold Coast tafe as a whole has been delightful, it has helped me develop invaluable skills that I did not know once before, with hard work and positive feedback from the teachers and friendships that I have made I feel 100% comfortable with referring friends and anyone interested to studying to Gold Coast Tafe. With hard work comes great skills.

The time I have spent at TAFE has been the most traumatic time ever. From the rudeness, atrocious customer service, bad phone manner & constant loss of my information & mucking me around with my diploma. Even now at the end I am having to beg for my results even thou I have paid in full & completed everything they have asked of me.
I have been spoken to Like a imbecile & treated Like a no body. This is also by the Nursing staff whom just don't care! To me you are in the wrong profession & lack compassion which goes against all that nurses should be. TAFE as a institute are bringing in a lot of Money but treating students / Humans as worthless sheep.
I would not recommend TAFE Southport
