Hall Green Junior School

We think Hall Green Junior School is a wonderful school to be part of, with fantastic children, supportive parents and dedicated staff. Since the first school opened in 1893, the schools on the Stratford Road site have grown and developed to meet the needs of the local area, as the area has grown from rural hamlet to the busy and thriving owner occupier suburb it is today.

HGJS is now a modern, very successful large Junior School, fully equipped to meet the needs of our children. We are a four form entry school with a strong communal feeling in each Year Group and across school.

Our aim is to serve the needs of the children attending our School. Each child is important to us and we aim to do the very best we can for every child. Our parents are aspirational and caring. We aim to meet the trust they put in us to look after and educate their child.

School has a very simple but very important Vision. "learning to be the best we can be". Our statement to support this is:

• School is here to equip every child with the skills to be a successful learner and responsible citizen.
• By successful learner, we mean academic success in conjunction with lifelong learning skills and attributes.

To meet our Vision, we have 4 Core Skills that we want every child to develop as they move through the Junior School. We want to enable every child to take responsibility for:
