Hazeldean Ptd Ltd is one of Australia’s largest seedstock businesses and operates from holdings in the Monaro and Riverina districts of Southern New South Wales.

Note: Applications can be submitted for more than one scholarship, but applicants can only receive one scholarship in any one academic year. If you’re applying for more than one scholarship, one copy of your CV and one copy of your College essay is sufficient.
Submitting your application
Applications must be received at Marcus Oldham College no later than 5.00pm AEST, on the scholarships closing date. Applications can be submitted via email, fax and post.
The process
Acknowledgement of receipt of application will be emailed to the email address you provided on your CV. Applicants who are shortlisted for an interview will be advised approximately 3 weeks prior to the interview date.
Interviews will be conducted on campus at Marcus Oldham, on the dates specified for each scholarship. The College does not conduct scholarship interviews via Skype, Facetime or Phone, with the exception of international applicants.
If no applicants are deemed to meet the selection criteria scholarships may not be awarded. The College also reserves the right to extend the closing and interview dates.
The successful applicant
The successful applicant will receive a Scholarship Letter of Offer and must advise the College in writing, of acceptance of the scholarships and obligations as a recipient within 7 days of written notification.
The value of the scholarships will be deducted from the fees in the appropriate academic year(s) unless otherwise agreed by the College.
Available to applicants enrolled or intending to enrol in Year 1 of the Agriculture Program.
Hazeldean Pty Ltd, is a pastoral enterprise owned and operated by the Litchfield family of Cooma since 1865. The company specializes in the production of superior seedstock for the beef and wool industries and is one of the oldest and largest merino and angus cattle studs in Australia. It encompasses Hazeldean Merinos and Hazeldean Angus. Hazeldean is a world leader in the use of measured performance and prides itself on the quality and longevity of the animals that are bred.
Hazeldean is located in the south east of New South Wales, Australia, in a region know as the Monaro, in the foothills of the Snowy Mountains, at around 1000 metres above sea level. The landscape is wide and open high rolling plains of volcanic origin. Livestock need to be tough to cope with the harsh, cold winters and hot summers, providing Hazeldean clients with superior genetics adapted and acclimatized to all areas of Australia.
