It is one thing identifying your child’s potential talents, it is another thing to nurture them. Developing a talent is a complex mix of developing and refining natural ability through practice, motivation and failure.

today I’m going to talk to you about how
to help your child to discover their
talents
first of all ensure that you expose your
child to as much of a varied life as you
possibly can expose them to a whole
range of activities even if they’re
beyond their immediate passions and
interests talk to them about what is
possible and how they can expand their
minds and their experiences to have as
much fulfillment as they possibly can
while stretching your child’s curiosity
be sure to stay connected to what your
child is enjoying open up dialogue with
them so that they’re comfortable to
explain and Express when they’ve really
really enjoyed a new activity or a
regular pastime equally ensure that
they’re comfortable with expressing when
they haven’t enjoyed a particular
activity ensure that you give your child
an opportunity to express when they’ve
heard about an activity that they’d like
to explore and try ensure that you give
them adequate praise if they take up
something new especially if it’s
something that they’ve persevered at be
absolutely sure that you don’t impose
your own thoughts and judgments on a
particular activity don’t judge your
child just because what they’re
interested in and what they’re
passionate about and what they’re
excelling in isn’t quite what you had in
mind your child might be really
excelling you might be really happy with
the activity that they’re showing a
talent in but there are going to be
times when your child might lose
interest in that particular activity
please don’t influence that there’s a
fair chance that with the right kind of
support they will revisit that in the
future so to summarise expose your
children to as many activities as you
can give them an opportunity to say
whether they’re in
showing that and to express to you
whether they’d like to try something in
particular make sure that you give your
child adequate praise when their
persevering and trying something outside
of the box don’t judge your child if the
activity that they’re taking up isn’t
quite in line with what you would like
don’t become frustrated and persevere if
your child decides that they want to let
that activity go for now as they might
revisit it thank you
