Founded in 2000, HKA prides itself as a non-profit, IB World School committed to providing an inclusive educational experience for students from the moment they join in Pre-Kindergarten until they graduate in Grade 12.

Over 20 years ago, two red doors served as the entrance to a small emerging school driven by a desire to offer an educational experience that was unique in Hong Kong. Today, our red doors symbolise a gateway to an ongoing learning journey through which we offer a pathway to individual excellence for every child.

We visited 10 International schools in HK before choosing HKA for our 5yo son. HKA's campus is by far the best in Hong Kong. The school community is great and the ability of the staff to deal with any issue is hyper professional. I actually don't understand why would anyone with the choice of having their children in international schools in HK, would not consider HKA as a top 3, or top 1. We have actually invited 3 families to bring their kids to this school and they are quite satisfied. Last but not least, the school community is very diverse culturally, ethnically and linguistically. Which was a plus for us.

We love HKA! I have had 4 children attend the school. The inquiry and hands on learning that guide the education make such a difference in allowing children to effectively take in knowledge. We also love the community activities, adventure camps and fields trips that are going on throughout the year. There is a real feeling of community at HKA.

My children attended HKA when in 2011. We are still in touch with the amazing teachers and families from our short time in Hong Kong. We are grateful for the school and it’s attention to community, belonging and educational excellence!

My sons have been at HKA since Grade 1 and are now in grade 11 and 12. Their teachers know them well and how to best appeal to their teenage brains and the boys have formed great friendships with fellow students from various different grade levels. Highly appreciate everything the school does for our family.

I graduated from HKA in 2013 after studying at the school from Grade 1 all the way through to Grade 12, graduating with 45 points in the IB Diploma. The school is inclusive, people-centered, and academically rigorous. I would highly recommend the institution for pupils who possess intellectual curiosity and those who want to one day grow up to shape the world around them for the better.

Our family loves HKA. It has the right balance of academic rigor and focus on the whole student. We appreciated the high quality, nimble online programs when they were needed and are grateful to be fully back on campus with classes, sports and extra-curricular activities thriving at pre-covid levels.

This school is a great place for the kids to learn and grow. The teachers are very supportive and make learning fun for the children. The school has a strong sense of community which helps build strong bonds between student, teachers and families.
