Hong Kong Man Sang Kindergarten & International Nursery

Hong Kong Man Sang was first established in 1969 on Tin Hau Temple Road in Causeway Bay. The school was moved to North Point Java road for school expansion until now. To further increase our services for young children, in 2001, pre nursery section was added into the school. The school and its vision have been well-recognised since then by our parents. With the continuous supports and encouragements, we expanded our educational service to the Western District in 2016. We offer half day programme and also whole day programme to cater the needs of the neighbourhood. Ever since the establishment of the school, We’ve been following our school motto “To work hard, to be truthful, brave and resolute”.

Our school has lived up to our mission in life to provide an education of mind and heart characterized by commitment to educating the future generation of Hong Kong. The record of enrolment of these years demonstrates that Man Sang's mission in pre-school education is meeting the demand of parents. This strength gives us deep confidence as we move forward to the future in Man Sang's next chapter.

We should not be too complacent of our success, but instead to continue with the same vigorous approach indefatigably that has so far brought Man Sang to today's recognition. We should continue to provide the best possible environment to enable each and every of our Man Sang students to blossom and to reach their highest potentials with flying colours.

We deeply believe that every child is a unique individual with his/ her own interests and abilities. Therefore, we aim to provide a joyful and stimulating learning environment with facilities that encourage children to take an active role in learning. It designed to nurture and promote moral, language, and cognitive, physical, affective and social, as well as aesthetic development.

Our teachers have received all requisite training and are registered as qualified teachers by the Education Bureau. Our English curriculum is taught by native English teachers and our Mandarin curriculum is taught by Mandarin speaking teachers who have passed National Putonghua Proficiency Test. Our teachers are committed to educate children according to their abilities. They are also good role models for children to follow. Professional developments are planned according to the learning needs and development of students to increase teaching proficiency in order to facilitate students' achievement. One of the main important aspects in raising student achievement is to continuously improve teaching quality, therefore consistent professional development for teachers is essential to sustain teaching professionalism.

Our Chinese curriculum incorporates “Theme Education” and “Children’s Project Approach”. The combination of the two engage children in the process which they are inspired to build on their existing experience to acquire new knowledge. We use Jolly Phonics as our phonics programme in our English curriculum. This programme teaches children 42 sounds of English and inspires children to learn through movements and songs. From basic sound making, blending of sounds to formation of words, children begin to acquire English reading, writing and comprehension skills. For our Putonghua curriculum, we use "Come and speak Putonghua" as our curriculum in line with the "Pre-school education curriculum guidelines". Through games, songs and speeches, children begin to develop their Putonghua listening, speaking and writing skills.
