Hope Christian College was born in the spring of 1998 by Mrs. Nancy Park and Mrs. Karen Richards who felt inspired to share with others the calling for a non-denominational school where the academics themselves had a scriptural basis. Our school is renowned for its excellence in academics and is a good home of religious discipline.

One cannot but be struck by the beauty of this school and our school community, with its lovely grounds and magnificent new block which is 100m from our current school. Our new land looks out onto the beautiful Roelands hills, where we have our new netball/basketball courts, as well as a fantastic sized oval. Our students have the joy of participating in our annual cross-country held at our new block, where they ford a river, run up into the lush hills and back down through the swamp, a true cross-country The beauty of the surroundings inspire pupils and teachers alike.

We have a range of activities on offer at our school. Our commitment to excellence in the classroom, culturally, spiritually and on the sports field are celebrated. We aim to produce young men and women who are inquiring, enthusiastic, tolerant and resilient. Young individuals who know the difference between right and wrong and who have the courage to stand up for what they believe in. Concluding this, together as partners we will continue to produce young men and women of character who will go out and make a positive difference in the world.

Our vision and values at Hope Christian College are:

  • To help each student realise their own true potential within a welcoming, caring and safe community that is respectful of each individual and the school community as a whole.
  • To be a school guided by Christian values where students build on their own individual strengths and in turn develop a strong moral character.

Our mission is to provide excellence in an educational environment that is stimulating and inclusive by:

  • Promoting best practice in academic and pastoral programs;
  • Creating a caring, stimulating, disciplined and structured educational environment based on the Christian principles of the fruits of the spirits; and
  • Encouraging our students to use all their gifts to flourish and to achieve their potential.

This is a non-denominational Christian school which will especially appeal to parents who:

  • Appreciate the value of Christian standards of behaviour without indoctrination by a specific church group.
  • Have children who need to be challenged with high academic work.
  • Have children in need of academic recovery.
  • Are interested in a school governed by a Christian Board
