ICFAI University Raipur

The ICFAI University, Raipur has been established under Section 9(2) of the Chhattisgarh Private Universities (Establishment and Operations) Act 2005 and notified on March 25, 2011. The University has been empowered to award degrees by the University Grants Commission, under Section 22 of the UGC Act, 1956 and is featured in the list maintained by the UGC.

The University campus is spread over 30 acres of land. It is located at Kumhari, District-Durg. It has academic blocks with classrooms which are well-equipped with latest audio-visual equipment and there are facilities with well equipped library, laboratories and computer center.

The University has always strived for providing quality education to its students and maintains a high standard of its curriculum aimed at developing intellectual capital for the state. The curriculum is reviewed at regular intervals to include latest techniques and new developments in the subject area.

The University is in the process of augmenting its infrastructure and laboratory facilities. The construction for additional academic block and workshop/laboratory spaces has begun. The University has decided to construct hostels in the campus for boys and girls students with kitchen and dining facilities. The construction plans are ready with approval from Nagarpalika authorities. The University has completed development of new programs like master degree, dual degree and Ph.D. in the area of management and engineering for students and working professionals who desire to enhance their qualifications. The University has also decided to introduce arts, commerce and science programs at UG level soon.

• To build collections by networking with leading Libraries for providing relevant information and create tools to support research, teaching, and learning. To ensure the preservation and long-lasting availability of library collections and resources.

The University has established an Alumni Society. All students are required to seek membership in the society. The provisional membership in the alumni body entitles the students to participate in seminars, workshops, conferences and local chapter activities organized by the society.
